Right of withdrawal

How to cancel an order within 14 days, with a form you can use.

As a consumer, you can cancel an order of printed books with us for any reason, within 14 days, without having to say why. This page explains how, and what happens next.

How long you have

You have 14 days from the day you, or someone you name (other than the carrier), receive the books. If your order arrives in more than one parcel, the 14 days start from the day you receive the last one.

How to cancel

Tell us that you have decided to cancel, before the 14 days are over, by email or by post, in a clear statement such as "I cancel my order WL-…". You can use the form below, but you do not have to. It is enough to send your message before the period ends.

The Wolfsbane Library

We will confirm by email that we have received it.

What happens next

We will refund everything you paid for the books you return, including the standard shipping you paid for them, within 14 days of the day you tell us you are cancelling. If you chose a more expensive delivery than our standard one, we refund only the standard cost. We refund you with the same means of payment you used, unless you agree to something else, and you will not pay any fee for it. We may wait to refund you until we have received the books back, or until you have shown us that you have sent them, whichever is sooner.

Sending the books back

When you tell us you are cancelling, we will send you the address to return the books to. Please send them within 14 days of telling us: it is enough to post them before the 14 days are over. You pay the direct cost of returning them; we recommend a tracked service.

You may look through a book as you would in a bookshop, but please return it unread and undamaged. If it comes back damaged, or has clearly been read, we may take the loss of value from your refund.

Ebooks

Because an ebook is delivered at once, you are asked at checkout to agree that its download may start straight away, and to acknowledge that you then lose your right to cancel it once the download starts. Until you download it, you can cancel it like any other order. If a file is faulty or will not open, you keep every right the law gives you: tell us and we will put it right or refund you.

Faulty books

This right is in addition to the legal guarantee. If a book is damaged, misprinted or faulty, you do not need to use it: see "Faulty, damaged or misprinted books" in our Terms & Conditions, and we will replace or refund it, and pay for any return.

Model withdrawal form

Complete and return this form only if you wish to cancel your order. Copy it into an email, or print it and send it by post.
