The Wolfsbane Library is the reader-facing home of The Wolfsbane Company. We publish and sell editions of the books we love most, made to be kept.
What we publish
Classics that have passed into the public domain, given new life in editions of our own; works we publish under exclusive licence from their authors, their estates and fellow publishers; and new books, made together with the people who wrote them. Whatever its origins, every book we publish is chosen, edited and designed with the same care, and every author is credited for their work. You will find them here, and with the bookshops and marketplaces we work with.
How we choose
Every title in the catalogue is read, argued over and read again before it earns a place. We favour stories with long shadows: gothic novels, ghost stories, poetry and the classics that shaped them.
How we make them
Our editions are printed on uncoated paper, sewn rather than glued where we can, and finished by hand. Special editions carry gilt edges and a ribbon marker.
